I am an interdisciplinary instructor of the arts. My formal training began at age 4 through the University Level in Arizona, California, Texas, and New York. I currently teach children through adults, beginning through professional levels in dance, drama, theatre arts, and visual art in private and private schools, artists in residencies, and professional companies. I specialize in leveled curriculum that I have created over the past twenty-five years of teaching. As a former NFL Head Cheerleader and Choreographer, I specialize in Pom technique, turns, drills, cheer, and spirit line coaching and choreography.

THEATRE ARTS

I have a whole drama curriculum for school-aged children, grades 1-12. I have developed a nationally recognized curriculum over the past twenty years, working both as an instructor within public and private schools and as an artistic director for companies and after-school studios. It goes beyond drama games and improves diving deep into age-appropriate material following children's five stages of development. I incorporate reading, writing, oral communication, team building, problem-solving, independent and group learning, adaptability, flexibility, time management, self-discipline, and self-regulation into all curriculums. We explore all types of theatre production from shadow plays, folktales, fairytales, one-acts, musicals, monologues, on stage, on camera, theatre history, technical theatre, stage design, and costume design. With my vast visual arts experience, I have successfully taught set design and costume design as well.

I have presented curriculum at several National Art Education Association conferences and love to work within an interdisciplinary approach incorporating music, dance, and drama into the visual arts lessons.
